Why Do I Tell The Tales I Tell?

Trapped

Some are trapped in a physical sense—
—some by addiction.
Perhaps worse for some—
—entangled by their own mind.
Some are limited by age or infirmary—
—others by injury or decline.
Cause not always known—
—everyone’s trap is different.
Some who fight are damaged.
Some who fight try but can no longer.
Some who fight lose and they become broken.
Whatever the bars are made from—
—matters not.
The composite doesn’t negate the reality—
—or the sense of despair.
For every one person who escapes their trap—
—there are many more who do not.
IT IS THEIR STORIES I TELL
