A very vivid and powerful account of painful and difficult childhood experiences. Written in the first person and identified by the author as partly autobiographical, the reader closely experiences the feelings of desperation and fear brought on by relentless bullying. But this is no pity-party. There is hope, there is improvement and there are lighter moments; but the end borders on devastating, which is thankfully redeemed by the notes in the epilogue.
Thoughtful and reasoned, this is a sharply-written and empathetic exploration of the cumulative actions and circumstances which might lead to the most devasting of consequences.

This tale is simple yet charged with pain. It was so absorbing that I couldn’t put it down. The author’s prolific ability to tell a story of a tormented protagonist is amazing. You empathize, but the character is not drowning in self-pity. That automatically makes you want to protect the character.
Check out this book, and others by this author. He is one of the best in the indie writing community today.

This book is a powerhouse of a read! Reading this book made me want to cry for and reach out to the bullied main character and protect him. A piece of the character’s self-esteem breaks off with each bullying incident as Joe slowly builds up to a final reckoning. As someone who was also severely bullied in school, I felt the character’s pain with each page I turned. This book was so engrossing I couldn’t put it down and finished it in just hours. This book is well worth your time and cost and you should definitely pick up a copy today!
