FINALLY BROKE 200!! FINALLY BROKE 200!!
On a positive note, with today’s “official” weigh-in, the scale reading is 198.1lbs. My starting weight, back on February 26, 2020 was 375lbs, giving a total loss of 176.9lbs.
Last week I gave myself a nod to reaching 200lbs, although I was 200.6. Well, this week I have gone through the 200 POUND BARRIER, landing almost at 198. To say I am happy, would be an understatement. This has been a good week, tracking downward, with a loss of 2.5lbs from last week, continuing progress to the next major goal marker of 175lbs.
I know that 176.9lbs seems like a rather large number, and I guess it is, but when we break it down, my average weight loss is just under 16lbs a month. At a starting weight of 375lbs, that is a reasonable rate of weight loss. Some weeks the scale goes down as much as 7lbs, as in last week’s report, others, as with this week, 2.5lbs. It matters not how much the scale goes down, just that the scale goes down. And to make that happen, we must not get discouraged and we must remain consistent.
The formula is straight forward –
Give optimal effort, there is the potential to achieve optimal results.
Give half-assed effort, more than likely achieve half-assed results.
Give zero effort, guaranteed to achieve zero results.
With all that has been going on during this pandemic, we can get lost in what we no longer have, or what we can no longer do. However, it is now that I realize just how grateful I am for what I do have, and for those whom I have in my life. To everyone on social media, my blog, Racquel and Annie at work, my favorite patient and most encouraging fan of my writing Nicole, and my accountability buddy on Facebook Carol, thank you all for your words of support and encouragement. I know for a fact, that during these most difficult times, which have been greatly compounded by other forces, without your positive comments pushing me forward, the results would not be what they are.
Even if others do, don’t give up on yourself.
