Why the pseudonym Scono Sciuto?
What does it even mean?
Is it a real name?
Let's start with the last question and work our way up.
No, it is not a real name, at least not one that I am aware of.
From the Italian language, sconosciuto translates into unknown.
I was looking for something other than anonymous to use as a pen name, and I found, what I believed to be the perfect Italian word to break up into two, giving a first and last name to my other persona.
Why even use a pen name? I chose to go with a pen name, because in addition to creating stories, I decided to create an entire character to write those stories. Getting into the character of Scono Sciuto, I become a different person, and that character is creating the story. I even refer to Scono as a separate writing entity. At the same time, I make no secret that I am Scono. All copyrights are of course in my name, and the pen name is listed as well.
I even took it a step further and made Scono a character in my novella, "Addiction Salvation."
So there you have it. The how, the why and just exactly who is my other persona, Scono Sciuto.
To quote a famous American commentator, "Now you know the rest of the Story."
To see the light, we must enter the darkness.
Chase new experiences, and embrace the wild.
“Who am I?”
I am an independent, self-published teller of tales. I am an author of scarcely any renown.
However, as a storyteller, I know who I am, and with that persona,
I am both confident and comfortable.
